C3 finds new partner for Lollapalooza Brazil
Austin concert promotion company C3 Presents has entered into a partnership with Brazil’s Time 4 Fun promoter in the production of the Lollapalooza Brazil music festival. The event is one of several iterations of the Chicago-based three-day destination festival that began as a package concert tour in 1991.
Prior to the new partnership, Billboard reports C3 had worked with Globo Organization offshoot GEO in the production of the Brazil event.
Billboard also spoke with company founders Charles Attal, Charlie Jones and Charlie Walker this past weekend while they were in Chicago for Lollapalooza. The three talked about the importance of sponsors like Samsung and Budweiser in keeping festival ticket prices less than $300, and how that festival’s alternative and urban music thrust makes it more broad musically than the company’s other events, like Austin City Limits Festival.
Annually, C3 produces or is a partner in 28 music festivals all over the world.
