Project Description
Like many cities in Central Texas, the City of Kyle has experienced explosive growth over the last decade. Located 20 miles south of Austin, Kyle was once considered a bedroom community with minimal commercial development.Today, the bustling town of more than 65,000 residents is attracting significant commercial development, including several large, walkable mixed-use projects underway.
Preparing for the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) annual conference in Las Vegas, the City’s Economic Development Department reached out to Buie & Co. to help create a new brochure to help position Kyle as a top destination for the upscale retailers, hospitality venues, and office tenants the City hopes to attract.
With a tight deadline ahead of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC annual conference), we got right to work creating new economic development messaging and a 30-page brochure.
More than simply highlighting Kyle’s growth, demographics and key commercial offerings, the brochure told the story of the community’s careful planning to create a unique identity in the fast-growing Texas region and the significant investments Kyle is making to make its vision a reality.
With highly customized maps and graphics, the end result shows off the city’s main selling points in a way that is perfectly suited to quick conversations at a conference.
After the conference, our client told us the brochures were a huge hit — so much so that they wanted to print even more to use back home. Thank you to the City of Kyle for partnering with us on this project!
